SERVICES

Our center provides therapeutic treatments to improve body function for optimal health. Dr. Mancini prescribes a variety of modalities from Oriental medicine to naturally influence the body to heal, grow and maintain vitality.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is recognized worldwide for its ability to treat many conditions. The World Health Organization even has a list of conditions it feels acupuncture can treat, including upper respiratory tract problems, respiratory system problems, disorders of the eye, disorders of the mouth, gastrointestinal disorders, neurological and musculoskeletal disorders.

The medical practice of acupuncture, dating back 3500 years, places its primary emphasis on the overall dynamic relationship of the body. Acupuncture is needle therapy that provides homeostasis or physiological balance over a wide range of external and internal conditions.

Through the insertion of fine needles into strategically located neurovascular junctures, a regulation of vital functional activities of the internal organs, nervous system, brain, endocrine system, cardiovascular system, immune system, respiratory and musculoskeletal system, an optimal state of health is achieved.

Nutritional Therapy

Nutritional therapy is always incorporated into our patients’ program. Many people have a poor diet, inadequate nutrition and lack of exercise that promotes an unhealthy lifestyle. Mancini Center for Optimal Health helps patients become responsible for their own personal health and well-being through health and nutrition education and practice.

Soft Tissue Restoration (Tui-na)

Tui-na is one of the oldest recorded modalities of Chinese medicine. This therapy consists of specialized soft tissue techniques that restore homeostasis of the body through controlled practitioner movement of the head, neck, spine, and extremities. The purpose of this therapy is to eliminate interference in the superficial vessels, improve circulation of the blood and vital nutrients, regulate tissues, and relax muscles. Tui-na is also used for restoring normal joint function to improve range of motion, treat soft tissue injuries, lubricate the joints, reduce swelling, alleviate pain, and reduce adhesions.

Core Body Mechanics Training

The Core Body Mechanics Training program teaches patients how to be more efficient in body movement to prevent injury and improve functional capacity throughout one’s life.

Biological Terrain / Diagnostics Lab Tests

Biological Terrain tests provide an objective analysis of an individual’s nutritional and biochemical status in several key areas. This system of testing allows the physician to objectively target and treat problems with nutritional supplements and dietary recommendations.

Metabolic Marker Screening

Metabolic Marker Screening is an in-office analysis of bone density, triglycerides, cholesterol (lipid panel), all proteins, ureas, sugars, and electrolytes (mineral salts). These objective tests can provide information regarding the direction of a person’s biochemical state. With proper treatment and monitoring, one can target lifestyle changes and nutritional supplements to improve cellular metabolism and lessen stress on the body and mind.
